Owner / Head Coach
Alan Jonas Silva.
Owner, head coach and the mind behind our CrossFit programming. A Level 3 Trainer with tertiary qualifications and the rare gift of making deep technical knowledge feel simple.
The story
The brains behind the programming.
Alan co-owns CrossFit Ulladulla and sets the technical bar the whole team coaches to. As a CrossFit Level 3 Trainer - the highest tier most coaches ever reach - and a university-qualified coach, he pairs formal education with thousands of assessed hours on the floor.
He's also the architect of our CrossFit programming, writing the strength, skill and conditioning cycles that quietly make every member better over time. Nothing is random; every block builds on the last.
But credentials are only half the story. What members notice first is the warmth - Alan can break down the most complex lift into something that clicks, then make you laugh while you nail it.
What I coach
Move better. Then move more.
Where Alan's experience makes the biggest difference.
-
Programming
The deliberate CrossFit cycles behind every class - strength, skill and conditioning, planned so progress is built in, not left to chance.
-
Olympic lifting
The snatch and clean & jerk, taught patiently and precisely - the lifts that reward technique over brute force.
-
Gymnastics & skill
Pull-ups, handstands, muscle-ups and the body control underneath them, built from solid foundations up.
-
Performance & competition
For those chasing the edge - peaking, competing and squeezing out the details that separate good from great.
Credentials & experience
Coaching at the highest level.
Few coaches reach Level 3, and fewer still pair it with formal education. Here's what stands behind Alan's coaching.
- CrossFit Level 3 Trainer (CF-L3) - the highest tier most coaches reach
- Tertiary-qualified (university degrees)
- Co-owner of CrossFit Ulladulla
- Writes and leads CrossFit Ulladulla's programming
- Specialist in Olympic lifting and gymnastics
“Anyone can make you tired. Making you better - that's the part that takes real coaching, and a real plan.”
